You can all (and again, by all I mean Mom, Di and maybe one other person) rest assured that I have found my camera! Here comes the embarrassed face part - um, it was in my bag. The whole time. Yeah, I swear, I did really look in there. To be fair, it was buried way down deep underneath Tinkerbell sunglasses, princess stickers, Hello Kitty paper, some crayons and hand sanitizer. Damn you deep pockets!
Anyway, so there you have it - it didn't magically disappear, it just vanished into the vortex of my summer bag. Now I can properly update you on my living room transformation. But not until tomorrow!
My quest to find my inner crafty-girl one small project at a time.

Ugh
Ugh, I've got nothing. My house sits the same as it did weeks ago.
I feel like I always do this. I get into an activity for a while...and then I stop. I didn't want that to happen to blogging/crafting/housing. But, I am in a rut. I have a pile of things to paint sitting in my laundry room. (Sadly, I have even been to lazy to take pictures of them!) I have: several mirrors, frames, rugs, sconces to re-do but I really don't have the motivation to do them. Then, I feel badly about myself that I am not doing them. Not that people really care if I am blogging or not - it's not my job or anything, but it's public so it's embarrassing if I don't follow through. I don't want to be that girl that never follows through. But, honestly, it's only been about 2 weeks that I haven't really done anything over here! Let's not get all dramatic, Amy!
Maybe this weekend? (It is summer. I am officially off for the summer - free to spend my days with my little ladies. Maybe that's not why I am motivated?) Sadly, I don't even have any ideas of what to do with my loot in the laundry room! And, the things that I do have ideas for seem too overwhelming to even try. Like that upholstered headboard, remember that? Yeah, still thinking about it! Hubs thinks that we will fight a lot if we try - perhaps? Dad will be here soon, maybe we'll wait for him?
Anywho, (there's that word again!) there's my stream of consciousness/guilt over not having done anything over here. Stay tuned, there might be a wave of activity now that I've professed my laziness/guilt. Look out world!
P.S. Anyone have ideas for something easy/cheap to help Stella get her groove back? (Or Amy get her craft on?)

I'm a Winner
No, that's not my daily affirmation, although maybe it should be. (Hardy, har, har...) But, no, seriously, I am a winner! I never win anything. I entered one of Cassie's giveaways (she reached over 1500 followers. WHOA!) She was giving away an awesome photo charm necklace from Sodderbug. Take a look at some of Janelle's awesome designs:

I am so excited to wear a cool new, photo charm. Now, what to put on it! When I entered the contest I had to say what I would get if I won. I said I would probably get something with my girls on it. But, now I am not so sure! First off, I don't have a great picture of them since my friend and fabulous photographer Kate did a shoot of the girls when the littlest sister was born. 18 mths ago! I suppose that would be a sweet photo.
Or maybe something more graphic and just as meaningful like our anniversary or conglomeration of important dates in our lives like this:

Productive Weekend
It was my baby's 4th birthday this weekend! I can't believe she is 4 already. Where did that time go? We had all sorts of family in town for her party. Surprisingly I did a few projects. No, I didn't get that headboard done, but I did get some other quick updates done around the house. After last week's plea for time management advice, all it took was a teensy bit of time while the girls were napping. Luckily I had a lot of the supplies on hand so it was easy to get my craft on.
Is your interest piqued? Come back this week for my easy updates!

Hmmm....
So, I have all of these great ideas whirling around in my head. I have a project for almost every room in my house, and most of them are small.
* Finish that mirror I spray painted the other day
* Actually modge podge that tray I was thinking about
* Hang the other mirror above the entry
* Paint a small telephone/plant stand
* Make that big mirror for my bedroom
* Recover a small footstool/bench
* Make that upholstered headboard
etc, etc, etc
There is lots more on my list. It's not too much and the projects don't seem too hard. My question to you is HOW DO YOU DO IT???? As in, when do you have the time to do it all? All of you amazing bloggers have some really kickin projects that you have done. I am amazed and astonished. I want to make some magic but I have 2 small kids, work outside of the home every day and just don't know when to get 'er done. I guess I need to just do some major work over the weekends?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and any tips for doing it all.
Kind of a lame post today...

Little by Little
Big breath...here I am...taking a leap of faith and going for it. I have been reading so many amazing DIY blogs lately and am totally inspired. The women I have been reading about are totally talented. I, on the other hand, am not! But, I am going to try. Here's a little history about us...
We have a new house. Well, kind of new. We have been here for about 7 months now. When we moved in, everything was fine: the colors on the walls were fine, the kitchen backsplash, the bathroom faucets, the landscaping. All fine. I was totally content to do nothing here for a while. But, then, I got the bug.
When we owned our last house, we jumped right in with both feet. We totally transformed the half bath, painted the bedrooms, stained the kitchen cabinets, added new countertops, painted the kitchen and den. And that was all in the first 5 months! Well, add two years and a second child and we slowed right down with this house.

I am ready now! I am going to attempt to show the things that I am doing along the way. Limited money, limited ideas, limited know how, limited craftiness and limited creativity. Should be interesting, (insert ridiculous face here) and maybe a little entertaining! I hope you will laugh along with me as I fumble way through!
